STEPS IN SECURING A LIBRARY CARD
Students must watch the official Orientation Video of the CMU Office of the Library Services.
This video includes:
A virtual tour of the library facilities
An overview of available library services
Introduction to library personnel
Library rules and regulations
General guidelines on library use
📌 Students are expected to finish the entire video before proceeding to the next step.
After watching the Orientation Video, students must complete the Evaluation Form provided.
This form is designed to:
Assess your understanding of the library services and policies
Confirm that you have completed the orientation
📌 Submission of this form is required before moving to the next step.
Students must watch the instructional video on how to create a Follett account.
This account is necessary for:
Accessing the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC)
Searching for library materials
Managing your borrowing transactions
📌 Follow the steps shown in the video carefully to avoid account errors.
Once your Follett account is created, schedule your Hands-on OPAC session through the provided scheduling link or form.
During this step:
Choose an available date and time ( M-F 8:00 AM-5:00 PM )
Confirm your schedule details
📌 You are allowed to schedule only once, so please choose carefully.
On your scheduled date and time, proceed to the NGCP Building (E-Library).
During the session:
Library staff will guide you on how to use the OPAC
You will practice searching for books and other materials
📌 Please arrive 10–15 minutes earlier than your scheduled time. Latecomers will not be accommodated.
After completing the Hands-on OPAC session, proceed to the Information Desk.
Library staff will:
Verify your completed requirements
Release your CMU Library Card
📌 Make sure all steps are completed to avoid delays in card release.

Yes. You may present your Certificate of Registration (COR) instead.
If you do not have a printed COR, you may secure a copy from your student portal or college registrar.
